I'm running Ubuntu 13.10, Gnome Classic and I'm trying to script the insertion of menu items, directories, and the applications.menu file for a specific user. I'm having difficulty finding the directories to put these files into so that they are available to that user.
Under other versions of Ubuntu these went into /home/user/.config/menus; /home/user/.local/share/applications; /home/user/.local/share/desktop-directories. I have no idea where they are in 13.10. Can anyone provide me with the information on the user specific directories in addition to the location of the shared applications.menu file? (I need the latter to put into my user applications.menu file so it can properly merge.) Any information is much appreciated! Thank you!
