Correct me if i am wrong. These folks were most likely added to the early beta program (early in 2007) before we formalized the requirements. As such they were grandfathered in. I have often thought of asking that we send a targeted email to these folks to correct it. In at least one case I am aware of folks who, after joining, have reverted their names to something else. However lately I've been building up gumption to challenge the decision to require real names at all. Partly due to privacy and partly due to administrative overhead.
