Hello ubuntu-devel!
This is a copy paste of the following discourse post:

The first point-release of an LTS is the official time when we switch
on release upgrades for users of the previous LTS. While preparing for
24.04.1, originally planned for Thursday August 19th, a few
high-impact upgrade bugs have been brought to our attention. To make
sure the experience of upgrading from 22.04 to 24.04 is adequate, the
Ubuntu Release Team made the decision to delay the release date by 2
weeks: until August 29.
For more information, please check out our usual point-release
tracking post on discourse:

Thank you!
On behalf of the Release Team,
Thanks for the heads up! I'll remove the time blocked off from the previous
release date to the updated release date for my testing boxes.
Better to be released when working than merely on time, as so many headlines of
update/upgrade debacles have well proven.
