There's this: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/casper/+bug/1870018 which seems to suggest that it should be fixed in Ubuntu proper, at least from Focal and beyond, but flavors are still affected. Though it was asked how to resolve the issue, no one ever replied back.
