There are few things I like about the Windows OS, but the experience of using
BitLocker and how it makes use of the TPM security chip is awesome. It makes
for such a seamless, easy to use, way to implement full-disk encryption,
utilizing the password at OS login etc.

Is there any hope that Ubuntu/Debian can implement a similar full-disk
encryption feature making use of the TPM security chip? Hardware based
encryption has always been the least invasive experience when doing encryption
and now that it is easy to get a self-encrypting SSD, it seems it should be
default approach.
