Hello list,
I have installed Shibboleth SP module for Apache via apt-get install
libapache2-mod-shib2 on Ubuntu 16.04. This command installs Shibboleth
Service Provider 2.5.3. but it is no longer a secure version of the
Service Provider
(https://wiki.shibboleth.net/confluence/display/SHIB2/Home).
There is a bug description in launchpad regarding the issue

Is this package going to be updated? The current version is available
for zesty and artful. I had assumed that with an LTS version, there
should at least be backports of important packages available.
