Hi, Blender's users use a lot the shortcut Alt + Right click in edit mode, it is used in modeling to select an edge loop. The shortcut is used by 99.9 % of the Blender users, i don't think it is used that much on Linux since we have the symbols already in the corner of a window and can drag a window at the border of the screen. I suggest to disable it by default to allow artists to work on their project without loosing time trying to solve the problem.
