This is exactly what i have done. I import my key in ubuntu-archive- keyring and shipped my key fragment in /etc/apt/trusted.gpg.d. I have done this for the .deb and .udeb packages. But when i start the installation, there is no /etc/apt/trusted.gpg.d/ there, so my modified packages was not installed.
