There is a serious bug in previous versions of xfwm4, the XFCE4 window manager, which has the result that clicking on the menu bar to move a window of a KDE app causes the window manager to hang forever, requiring the user to kill the X session or reboot. This has been reported numerous time (see the links below).
The XFCE4 creator, Olivier Fourdan, committed a patch to fix this problem on 2015-05-18. See http://git.xfce.org/xfce/xfwm4/commit/?id=71d37e11 However this commit does not seem to be in any version of the Ubuntu's xfwm4, including xenial. I filed a bug report about this two months ago: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xfwm4/+bug/1535112 It has been confirmed, but otherwise it seems that nothing has been done. Can we get this patch into the xenial xfwm4 package, please?
