HOW TO REPRODUCE: 1. Boot a laptop. 2. Set a different screen brightness level. 3. Reboot. RESULT: Backlight is not memorized. FIX: Into the "Terminal" application, enter the following lines one by one: - wget https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/upstart/+bug/1270579/+attachment/4288756/+files/upstart_brightness.tar.gz - sudo rm /etc/rc?.d/?25backlight /etc/init.d/brightness - sudo tar -zxvf upstart_brightness.tar.gz -C / - rm upstart_brightness.tar.gz Please react.
