2011.4.12 is in sid, and would have propagated to Ubuntu if ubuntu
hadn't had their own customizations (ocelot has 2011.1.15-0.1ubuntu2),
so updating would require a manual sync. Is there something you
considered particularly important in 2011.4.12?

Looking at the changelogs there have been some changes that seem worthwhile.

  e.g. Configuring with --enable-crypto and --enable-extras.

e.g. ntfs-3g: fixed possible wrong hole size when overwriting compressed data.
