As much as I would love to show up Gnome by writing a qt4 gdm-greeter, it doesn't really work well. Gdm has issues with compositing that I can't quite get my head around. Perhaps I'll try it again some other way, not much experience with qt4 so perhaps I did it wrong in my tests.
