I'm not following the details, but I'm sure the Ubuntu security team is aware of any related security issues and able to balance urgency of getting fixes out versus the value of more testing. If you want to get your Firefox straight from Mozilla as you would on Windows you can do that, but you'll need to go to them for support after that.
