I'm working with a usbstick made from the gui tool in ubuntu 9.10 . Is there any way to do away with graphic during live disk load to see what's going on ? like removing "quiet splash" from the GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT= line in /etc/default/grub? The installation media is also ubuntu 9.10 at this time but I'm having trouble with 10.04bx on the usbstick and would like to see dmesg go by as it loads since it leaves no logs when it hangs .
