We're still being a Microsoft technology user, which is what Mark Shuttleworth didn't want, and is the reason why Wine is not included in Ubuntu. Ubuntu is supposed to be a collection of amazing free software, not a gratis Microsoft Windows. Consider that the Windows platform nowadays *is* .NET. Win32 is deprecated.
