I'm not sure that I really understand how multiseat works. But the suspend and hibernate functions come from HAL, and I believe are more based on whether the user has admin rights. For general trying to access those functions you can look at the Debugging GNOME Power Manager Wiki Page: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingGNOMEPowerManager If it is an admin issue, you can change how all of those permissions are configured by using PolicyKit. http://hal.freedesktop.org/docs/PolicyKit/polkit-conf.html --Ted
