Right, now what would you advise to have some momentum and have a
mailing list for the same?

There is also a possibility (a stretchable one though) that if a
mailing list is there, it may attract people who have knowledge about
the audio stack and may be instrumental in

a. Canonical hiring them
b. Getting a corner and better support which in turn leads to better
user-experience.
