Just to be clear, that was my point: just because a package is installed from a deb and not a repo does not mean it is unwanted/unneeded/cruft.
But if people are installing apps from other sources, maybe we should include such packages in the official repos/sources, etc. Clearly this is not the sole purpose of this application, is a good example of the need for a new name. There are many apps available which official repositories do not list, and the user can install on their own.
