No. This would be used to open programs that are not in the menu without having a terminal window open.

Example: metacity or compiz crashes
Solution: run it again from a "run" menu item
Bad solution: run it from terminal - you have to keep it open because when you close it you'll close metacity/compiz/whatever you've run in it
