Your Ubuntu is free as well as the technical support through mailing lists. While some of these people do nothing but to fill in descriptions, help and other texts, there are even more snippets missing. If you found such a spot of void, write down what belongs there and hand it over to the documentation team in form of a bug report. That said, I think Ubuntu is now adult enough to move the emphasis slightly more towards stability.
