I have done at least 30 installs for different network setups in the past few months, and did not know that... Maybe that information should be a little easier to find on the Ubuntu website. Not only would that information have helped me on several occasions, but I think it would have prevented the OPs original post. He was just looking for a way of installing from a single media. A net install could offer a easy option.
