Yes, in most cases we got the same keyboard layout on all workstations at the same site. Hence that should be a reasonable default. My first post was only to point out the fact that all documentation that I have found on this issue (regardless of LTSP version) has stated that us keyboard should be default.
Since neither ltsp on dapper or edgy has been working right out of the box for me, I am very much in favour of providing a lts.conf file with -if not all, at least most- settings that has been chosen as default values.
