Sorry your bug report got our call for testing after you commented
"However I installed the 2.6.27-1-generic kernel into Hardy from
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/pub/next/2.6.27-rc3/hardy/ and the bug seems to
have been fixed for this -generic kernel" . It seems that 2.6.27 at
least running in Hardy looks promising. I'm going to tentatively mark
this fix released for 2.6.27. Obviously, please feel free to set that
status back to New if this is not the case if and when you are able to
fully update to Intrepid. Thanks.
