Added for info. This Bug has been present in Feisty, Gutsy and Hardy in the received Facsimiles. That is, Gfax won't sort on anything but Sender - but there is some good news - it will sort on Sender when any of the other column headers is clicked, neatly changing the order of the received events based only on the Sender column.
I'm unsure as to the builds prior to Hardy having the problem with Completed Jobs, but it's certainly there in Hardy and Gfax is apparently sorting only on Status when a sort is requested on any column in that particular display. Unfortunately I don't have a list of Pending faxs to play with so I can offer no comment there. If necessary I'll switch off the modem and and build a few events up if the BugSquashers believe it will assist. Though sorting is notionally available on any of the columns in the Gfax gui, the generated e file names makes the inability to sort on "Arrived" a problem of some significance, since the base Hylafax system names the files relevant to something other than received order of successful fax events. (very probably incoming calls of any description.) In other news, the permissions of the files are at best obscure and at worst downright obstructive on a standard installation of Hylafax/Gfax - while this is not a bug as such for Gfax, it may be something that's getting in the way of GFax being able to sort effectively. I have not tested a multi-modem, multi user situation to see if the bug surfaces for all users/modems, so I can offer no constructive information for those situations. -- gfax sort by column other than Sender does not work. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/189301 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
