i upgraded my OS from Ubuntu 8.04 to 8.10...in the removing the old package step i got an error about something in the network ..then after removing and cleaning the old packages and after that restarting the system, the laptop freezes at the login window ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
