I had exactly the same problem: Edgy and FF2.0 worked fine After installation of w32codecs firefox did crash. (gmail.com, web.de, ) After disabling Javascript FF i could go to gmail. Still FF crashed on some sites. Installing libflash-mozplugin solved now the problem
