Some additional info: I just tried to install dbg versions and follow the debug wiki page... well i did not manage to reproduce the same problem (i had to use one step newer ati driver in lenny repositories because of acessibility the debug versions), however i managed to get the xserver frozen (i am not sure if it is the same problem, whether the dbg versions with + Option "NoTrapSignals" "true" does not change the behavior in that way). I am attaching the avalable logs + i will keep trying ....
