I've found the cause of these errors on my machine. All I need to do is remove the ohci1394 module ie: sudo modprobe -r ohci1394 and the messages immediately go away.
I haven't yet found a way to disable this module on bootup (blacklisting it doesn't prevent it from loading). So it appears to be a firewire issue? Ben Collins works on the Linux1394 project, perhaps he knows of the cause and correct fix?
