Public bug reported: I am trying to create a appamor profile for pure-ftpd on my server, it worked fine for all the events, except for the attempt to create a directory.
The directory creating is being performed into an NFS mounted filesystem. The profile is set to "complain" mode, still because of the error the operation is unsucesfull. On the FTP client: ftp> mkdir x 550 Can't create directory: No such file or directory ftp> On the server log: [781051.986127] audit(1219767242.992:17631): type=1503 operation="inode_mkdir" info="Failed name resolution - object not a valid entry" error=-2 requested_mask="w::" denied_mask="w::" pid=6519 profile="/usr/sbin/pure-ftpd" namespace="default" The aa-logprof also behaves incorrectly: Use of uninitialized value in hash element at /usr/share/perl5/Immunix/SubDomain.pm line 1523. Enforce-mode changes: Profile: /usr/sbin/pure-ftpd Path: Mode: w Severity: unexpected rank input: I had to remove the profile for the pure-ftpd because of this error. ** Affects: apparmor (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Summary changed: - Unable to create an apparmor profile for pure-ftpd + Error creating apparmor profile for pure-ftpd -- Error creating apparmor profile for pure-ftpd https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/261525 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
