I did try your command line and did not see any response indicating I had accomplished anything.
However I later discovered I now connect. I always like to know how things work. I have a friend who had exactly the same response and he gave up. I ended up with his PCI wireless card. Whatever the cause I now have connectivity and I thank both you and Chri for your sharing your skills.
