More on this... Even "sudo /etc/init.d/network start" DOES NOT WORK!!!
After getting the IP you can drop it succesfully with "sudo /etc/init.d/network stop" but IT WON'T you it back with "sudo /etc/init.d/network start", you HAVE TO DO "sudo dhclient" Why? Why does dhclient work and dhclient called from ifup DOES NOT? WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE? dhclient is not good enough because I still have to set up some static routes manually also, while network ifup will set these routes for me. -- Network Manager unable to resume network after suspend https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/261391 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
