Public bug reported: Binary package hint: inkblot
system : Ubuntu 8.04 inkblot --version : GNOME inkblot 0.99.9 Expected behaviour : display the ink level of my printer Observed behaviour : Inkblot display the grey icon with the white on red cross, showing the message : "Error: problem with printer". When I right click on the icon, to rescan the printer device, it displays the status : ''' Printer Detection Complete Found Epson Stylus Photo R1800 USB printer on lp0 Inkblot will report the ink level on this device ''' It is then not a problem of permission on the '/dev/usb/lp0' (I've made a "sudo adduser <username> lp" before) The ink level is well reported with mtink. ** Affects: inkblot (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- inkblot does not report ink level of epson R1800 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/261383 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
