I am not satisfied with the music player situation too. Currently I am
using xmms2, but a good client is missing (xmms2 is a client/server
approach). If you want to test xmms2, please use my PPA for hardy
(https://launchpad.net/~bdrung/+archive) or use intrepid. The versions
of xmms2 in feisty or hardy are too old.
