Public bug reported: Binary package hint: synaptic
I start synaptic as non-root (because I only want to see the names of packages that I have installed), click on "Installed (local or obsolete)", and I get a list of packages with mismatching descriptions (libgl1-mesa-dev is described as "Core Perl modules", python2.5-minimal as "X.Org X Window System", etc). See the attached screenshot. If I start synaptic as root, everything is fine. ** Affects: synaptic (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Non-root Synaptic shows wrong package descriptions https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/260788 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
