Thanks yoblin,

Hrm can you comment which version of linux-backports-modules you
installed? I'm seeing the rtl8180 driver in the linux-backports-modules
git tree for Hardy:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/ubuntu-hardy-lbm$ find -name "rtl8180*"
./updates/compat-wireless-2.6/drivers/net/wireless/rtl8180.h
./updates/compat-wireless-2.6/drivers/net/wireless/rtl8180_dev.c
./updates/compat-wireless-2.6/drivers/net/wireless/rtl8180_grf5101.c
./updates/compat-wireless-2.6/drivers/net/wireless/rtl8180_grf5101.h
./updates/compat-wireless-2.6/drivers/net/wireless/rtl8180_max2820.c
./updates/compat-wireless-2.6/drivers/net/wireless/rtl8180_max2820.h
./updates/compat-wireless-2.6/drivers/net/wireless/rtl8180_rtl8225.c
./updates/compat-wireless-2.6/drivers/net/wireless/rtl8180_rtl8225.h
./updates/compat-wireless-2.6/drivers/net/wireless/rtl8180_sa2400.c
./updates/compat-wireless-2.6/drivers/net/wireless/rtl8180_sa2400.h

I know the compat-wireless stack was recently pulled into linux-
backports-modules from upstream which likely provided the rtl8180
driver. It's likely this update is in a newer release of linux-
backports-modules which hasn't hit the repositories yet. It's likely
sitll sitting in -proposed. If you'd like to test the newer version of
linux-backports-modules that's in hardy-proposed, follow these
instructions:

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed

Otherwise you can just wait for it to get released and then retest.
Thanks.
