Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nvidia-glx-177

1) I have installed nvidia-glx-177 (I've met some issues, but successfully
resolved it)
2) Changed "nv" to "nvidia" in xorg.conf and restarted PC then.
3) The driver failed to start, and I was given configure screen with low res
(how can I completely disable it? I don't need this. My system has some
incompatibility with this configure screen. When it appears I can't even enter
to console - everything hangs up, and the only thing I can do is to reboot
computer)
4) So, I rebooted in single user mode, made "modprobe nvidia", and then
executed "init 3".
After that this driver have worked OK.

** Affects: nvidia-graphics-drivers-177 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
