Public bug reported: Binary package hint: texlive-lang-latin
The "latex" command (from the "texlive" package) cannot compile Latin documents. Here is a minimal example: \documentclass[a4paper]{article} \usepackage[latin]{babel} \begin{document} VENI VIDI VICI \end{document} Upon compilation, it throws this error: ! Undefined control sequence. l.184 \addtoextraslatin {\LatinMarksOff} ? ! Undefined control sequence. l.184 \addtoextraslatin{\LatinMarksOff } This bug seems to have been reported and fixed in Debian (http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=451295). I'm using a fully up-to-date Ubuntu 8.04.1 system with all repos enabled. ** Affects: texlive-lang (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- LaTeX cannot compile Latin documents https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/260002 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
