Steps to reproduce:
1 - On a fresh install, enable desktop effects.
2 - Right click on the "workspace switcher">"preferences".
3 - Increase columns to 4 (other values appear to work too)
4 - Go to System>Preferences>Keyboard Shortcuts.
5 - Try to enter a keyboard shortcut for "Switch to workspace X" (where X is a
number greater than your original (2) number of workspaces). (also, move to
workspace options)
The option will not exist. To get it to show, you need to turn off
desktop effects.
