I made a brief survey tonight among members of a LUG I am in. One person tried to figure out how to change the mouse pointer, and gave up after trying for a while.
His teenage son managed to find the dialog, with a fair amount of prompting from me. Another person, who is very familiar with Fedora and Redhat systems in his professional work, tried on his Fedora laptop with the same Gnome version (with slightly different Desktop menus), and also found it very difficult to find the right dialog.
