Public bug reported:

In the current (2.6.27-rc3) kernel the synaptics driver produces this
message in the syslog:

kernel: evdev.c(EVIOCGBIT): Suspicious buffer size 511, limiting output
to 64 bytes. See http://userweb.kernel.org/~dtor/eviocgbit-bug.html

The page mentioned also has a fix for the problem (which works).
