After searching the net, I've decided to look at scripts (mainly /etc/X11/Xsession) and: If you select "Xclient", $HOME/.xsession gets executed (if exists). Created one that says "jwm", works like a charm. If there's a problem changing the text or the tooltip because of some inter-distro evil pact, at least add a word about this to yelp
