I can confirm that this affects also Intel G965 and P35 chipsets whit Lacie USB2 hard-drives. Almost allways the speed is 3-6 MB/s but sometimes it works in full speed 30 MB/s.
I've attached a screenshot where I first transferred one file to the usb2-drive with average speed over 30 MB/s and after 15 minutes when I tried to transfer different file to the drive the transfer speed was only about 3 MB/s. I think that this is a lot more worse bug than our developers think because making backups is getting too slow. Also the pci=routeirq did not help for me and this affects both nautilus and cp transfer from command line. ** Attachment added: "Kuvakaappaus-1.png" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/16892873/Kuvakaappaus-1.png -- file transfer on USB disk slows down with gvfs https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/197762 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
