I think the two bugs are related. Version 0.6.2 introduced some changes in the way the network communication is performed and this makes version 0.6.0 and 0.6.2 incompatible.
Bug #234247 describes the case when 0.6.0 works as the server and 0.6.2 is the client, the bug I filed describes the other way around.
