Pascal, I've tried those boot parameters, but my laptop (Toshiba M45 S165) also cannot resume from suspend. No matter what parameter I use, the screen remains black, I can hear the DVD drive being accessed, the power LED changes from a glowing yellow to the "on" green and the Caps- and Num-lock LEDs blinks.
However, I hear no booting beep, caps/num lock cannot be toggled, and I need to remove and insert the battery so the laptop may be used again. I'm on a stock 6.10 (386) system (updated from a clean 6.06 install), no devices plugged in, no third party drivers. BIOS has been updated to 1.50. I can provide the DSDT, dmesg and any other necessary information, if needed.
