Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.
This bug did not have a package associated with it, which is important for ensuring that it gets looked at by the proper developers. You can learn more about finding the right package at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage . I have classified this bug as a bug in xorg. Please answer these questions: * Does this happen everytime? * Does it happen when you work on the machine? Please attach your X server configuration file (/etc/X11/xorg.conf) and X server log file (/var/log/Xorg.0.log) to the bug report as individual uncompressed file attachments using the "Attachment:" box below. Could you please also try to run without any /etc/X11/xorg.conf and let Xorg autodetect your display and video card? Please also attach the /var/log/Xorg.0.log from this attempt. Please also attach the files created with following commands to this report: lspci -vvnn > lspci-vvnn.log dmesg > dmesg.log Thanks in advance. ** Changed in: xorg (Ubuntu) Sourcepackagename: None => xorg Assignee: (unassigned) => Andreas Moog (andreas-moog) Status: New => Incomplete -- Ubuntu 8.04 will not install or boot correctly on a old 2000 Dell Dimension 2100! https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/257630 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
