Some nasty pstopdf bugs were fixed in cups 1.3.8-4, especially one that
caused it to try to write to /var/spool/cups/....pdf even if the process
had no write access there.
Which version of the package do you have installed? If older than
1.3.8-4, please upgrade to the latest cups and try again. If the bug
still persists, feel free to change the status of this report back to
“New”. Thank you.
