I have deployed lastest AMI BIOS 1.9 from 2008-07-07. Unfortunately no auto CPU-scaling whatsoever option in BIOS. CPU scaling has to be done by OS.
I can now confirm, that it is still an issue with upgraded kernel 2.6.24-19-generic. [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/home/markus# modprobe acpi-cpufreq FATAL: Error inserting acpi_cpufreq (/lib/modules/2.6.24-19-generic/kernel/arch/x86/kernel/cpu/cpufreq/acpi-cpufreq.ko): No such device I do request a priority of at least medium for this issue.
