Hardy Heron 8.04.1 -- KDE 3.5.x "Considering the kubuntu distro is very stable, I seldom shutdown and just close the lid of the laptop. But that poses a security risk (or embarrassing moments) since anyone can open the lid of the laptop and view my open applications or start working with my login. The kdm should have a screensaver and the desktop lock time "automatically" set at first install (or first user) so as to avoid these kind of risks.
