Thank you for the information. I cannot recall exactly how I entered the original contacts. I believe I used the link on the left side of the UI, which probably is the pidgin program, altho I do not use any IM.
I haven't had trouble since. Thanks for your investigation. I hope you will be able to correct for the future. The steps to recreate the problem are as follows, setup pidgin since this appears to be what evolution is using to "automatically" install the contacts . Then in evolution Edit -> Preferences -> "Mail Preferences" -> "Automatic Contacts" then click on "Synchronize with buddy list now". Now the contacts list is populated with all my contacts in this case MSN contacts. So, if I then click on "New" (email) and in the new blank email click on "To:" to select a contact to email the "contacts" box in this dialog is empty even though my contacts appear when on the "contact view". As I posted earlier in this thread it appears that the Snyc plugin isn't populating the correct fields. -- Evolution contacts missing in new or forward emails https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/241274 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
