I'm using Hardy Heron. When I go to Hardware Drivers I discover that my Nvidia
driver is "enabled" and "in use." However, when I try to use the
nvidia-settings program to set up my preferences on my dual monitors, I get the
following message:
You do not appear to be using the NVIDIA X driver. Please edit your X
configuration file (just run `nvidia-xconfig` as root), and restart the X
server.
I'm stuck. I know the correct driver is installed but can't seem to
convince nvidia-settings of this.
